Sparked for Eastern Regionals

Mad Rollin’ Dolls’ all-star travel team, the Dairyland Dolls, pack up their pads and fish net stockings and roll east to compete in the first WFTDA Eastern Regional Tournament, the Heartland Havoc, Aug. 17-20 in Columbus, Ohio,

The Madison team holds the top seed in the eastern region of Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) and expects to be among the four elite eastern teams to compete in the National Championships in Austin, Tex., Sept. 29-30.

“The Dairyland Dolls are jazzed to play the best of the Eastern region in Columbus,” says team captain, Crackerjack. “We’re ready to defend our #1 standing. They’ll be eating our dust.”

The Dairyland Dolls roster for Heartland Havoc includes the fastest jammers and hardest-hitting blockers from all four Mad Rollin’ Dolls home teams. Dolls have been prepping for regionals with extra drills and conditioning and two summer season inter-league bouts. They defeated the Hotrod Honeys, Austin’s top-ranked team in June, but stumbled in a July dust-up with the Tucson Saddletramps.

The Dolls expect their most rabid fans to pack up their cowbells and make the road trip to Columbus.
